Our England

Our England: Re-imagining Englishness through protest, progress, and pluralism.

Our England centres the potential of Green politics in shaping a progressive, plural, and inclusive English identity. From the Tolpuddle Martyrs to the Chartists, from the Suffragettes to Black Lives Matter, progressive campaigns for working class emancipation, freedom, and equality have shaped English politics and English identity. By connecting these historical struggles with contemporary Green values, we seek to build on strong foundations to reclaim Englishness from far-right ideologies.
